The Cannon IXUS 75 is stylishly designed, well-built, boasting an array of additional features including various scene modes, automatic face detection, DIGIC III technology and including the benefit of iSAPS. ISO modes range from 80 to 1600. The Cannon IXUS 75 is just 19.6mm thick, being one of the slimmest compact cameras in Canon's extensive range. The new Canon IXUS 75 offers a 7.1 megapixel sensor, 3x zoom lens equivalent to 35-105mm, and a large 3 inch LCD screen with 230,000 pixels. The Cannon IXUS 75 also includes Face Detection and Noise Reduction technologies, a new Red-Eye Correction feature on offer in Playback mode, and a new ISO Auto Shift function to assist in image blurring. The IXUS 75 includes Canon's DIGIC III imaging processor, making super-fast responses and advanced noise reduction, as well as automatic face detection which brings human faces into sharp focus and corrects any exposure errors. Also combined is Canons' iSAPS technology (Intelligent Scene Analysis based on Photographic Space) which optimizes key camera settings even before a shot is taken. On the top of the camera is a mode switch to select video, scene or auto mode, together with a power on button and zoom rocker. On the back of the camera is an access to print functions, playback, menu access and display modes, and also controls for changing ISO settings, shooting mode, flash settings or selecting Macro mode. The automatic shooting modes include auto, manual, digital macro, color accent and can be programmed following the location and the subject. However the flash options are limited with a choice between Flash On (which cannot be used in auto mode), Automatic Flash and Flash Off. The Cannon IXUS 75 with its stylish metallic casing is an ideal compact camera, a great buy for professional photographers as well as amateurs.
